Where do I use suction filters?

• In hydraulic systems where impurities can severely damage the pumps.
• In hydraulic systems using the same oil for the working hydraulics and the gearbox.
• In systems which require filling under difficult conditions.
• With hydraulic units with complex shaped oil tanks and which are therefore very difficult to clean.

Where do I have to pay attention?

• Filter monitoring with vacuum switch or manometer.
• Correctly sized, short suction pipes with few direction changes.
• Oil tank placed above the pump.
• Use of thinner oil (for example ISO VG 32 instead of ISO VG 68)
• No super-fine filtering possible
• Max. Δp 0.05 bar with clean element
