Where do I use return suction filters?

• In hydrostatic driving units with combined working hydraulics

What are the advantages of return suction filters?

• The filtered oil is returned to the filling pump with an overpressure of 0.5 bar. This reduces the risk of cavitation and allows for excellent cold start performances.
• Fine filtering possible
• External pressure control valve leading the oil directly into the tank at Δp 2.5 bar and more
• Simple mounting and tubing
• Only one filter is necessary (suction and pressure filters can be left out)

Where do I have to pay attention when mounting return suction filters?

• Maintaining the precharge pressure of 0.5 bar at the filling pump connection in any case requires a pressure surplus between return line pump and suction pump (approx. 10-15 %)
• Max. oil flow velocity 4.5 m/s
